Getting to Know Maggie
Maggie Sta. Ana is one of the most accomplished martial artists at One Tribe Martial Arts. She is one of the sweetest, kindest, and most caring people you'll ever meet — but the moment she steps onto the mat, she transforms into a fierce competitor with one goal in mind: bringing home the trophy.
Throughout her journey, Maggie has consistently demonstrated excellence in every role she has embraced. From earning championship titles at local competitions to performing as a member of the academy's elite Demo Team, she has continually set a high standard of skill, discipline, and dedication.
As an instructor, Maggie is passionate about developing the next generation of martial artists, sharing her knowledge while inspiring students to reach their full potential. Her competitive career has taken her from local tournaments to the international stage, where she proudly represents One Tribe Martial Arts against elite competitors. Whether teaching, performing, or competing, Maggie exemplifies the discipline, leadership, and perseverance that define a true martial artist, making her an exceptional ambassador for both her academy and the martial arts community.
A Few Words From Maggie:
This tournament is the next chapter of my kung fu journey, where I can learn and discover how far my training has brought me. Traveling internationally will allow me to experience a new culture and language, and also see different things. Kung fu has shaped me as a person. It taught me to be humble, kind, and patient. The lessons I learn through teaching and training are something I carry with me in everyday life. But I do admit I still have a lot to learn and improve in my martial arts skills. Kung fu is such a vital part of my life that I can’t imagine living without it.
One of my goals is to try my hardest to win and compete for gold. I also want to inspire younger students of the One Tribe community. As a Sijeh, I hope to be an example that encourages my students to persevere, work hard, and remain loyal. I have always had a love for performing, and I wish to share that with my students as well. When I was a tiger, I always looked up to my Sijehs, Sihings, and my Sifu, hoping one day to reach the level they had achieved. Ultimately, I want to leave Brazil knowing that I represented my teachers, peers, and students, and everyone who has supported me throughout my journey with honor. And I hope to make you all proud.
One Tribe is way more than the name of my school. This is my family, my home, my life. This community has helped influence the martial artist and person I am in my everyday life. Representing this school means representing the people who have stood beside me through my ups and downs. I won’t be stepping into this competition alone; I will be carrying the support, love, and spirit of the entire One Tribe Family with me.
