Earlier this year, Mike was invited to be a guest on The Bay Area Martial Arts Podcast hosted by Wade Pitts. The premise of the interview is Martial Artists that are also business owners. As many of you know, owning and business is not easy. Mike has definitely had his share of ups and downs, but I can honestly say he wouldn’t have it any other way. I still remember him talking about his dreams of owning the school. It wasn’t until I was a few months pregnant that the roller coaster of transition happened; I guess we needed more excitement with all the change.
As I look back and I am still amazed at what he has accomplished in his career as an instructor, competitive fighter, business owner, husband, and now a father. He has created not just a community, but a family at One Tribe. One day Makena will start her Kung Fu journey, and it warms my heart knowing she will get to experience it with her dad. Thank you Mike for everything you do, and congratulations on being acknowledged on this awesome podcast!
