Congratulations to our newest black belts who endured a grueling six-hour examination conducted by Master Jeff Chow on Saturday, November 4. The examination included a comprehensive review of all their Kung Fu techniques and knowledge. Students were led through weapon sets, hand forms, rapid Choy Lay Fut combinations, self-defense, and they ended the test with challenging endurance exercises and board-breaking.

Each class of black belts means something different to me. This class represented perseverance and determination as a majority of the graduates had to interrupt their training due to personal and/or physical reasons at times. However, they still kept their training goals in mind... to deepen their understanding and refine their craft as martial artists. Though the road could have been easier uninterrupted, I think it means more if you had a few 'bumps' along your journey. Thank you for continually trusting us at One Tribe to help you achieve this amazing personal accomplishment. So proud of you all!

The achievement of receiving a Black Belt is a memory that lasts a lifetime. Join us in congratulating all of our Fall Class of 2017 (see list below)
